Midday Diffusion, is an oil painting on canvas. I associate the layers of paint like past memories or parts that have developed and aged, like one's character. Just like life can bring us change, lines abruptly stop, and just as fate sometimes takes us in different directions, shapes merge and flow in various directions.
It is misleading to approach the work as if trying to solve a riddle, nothing is defined; it is all allusive. Instead, the work builds on connections, moving from one thought to another. Rather than an imposed definition, work is open. It is not a depiction of a particular place, but a reality represented in paint.
