FLY

I am Susan Cooper,  an artist of public art, sculpture, painting and drawing.  

FLY is a travel composition.  While traveling I am compelled to draw endlessly.  Just my nature to see design all around me.  In 2023 I lived in Milan for a month while I had a show of my large work.  When traffic into the gallery was slow I drew on 5.5 by 7 inch paper.  After I returned to my studio I put them together and came up with what you see.  My more recent show in Venice had me back at small traveling drawings.  They look entirely different.  
The material is archival paper,  pastels, pencil, crayons.  This is backed by 1/4  inch plexiglas and framed by 1/8 plexi.
