The Roots Make the Wings

I am a pencil artist. My subject matter comes from the simple wonders of the natural world.

The longer I do this the more I find myself focusing in on the small details in nature,

the common objects of the changing seasons.

Pencil drawing is and always has been my first love. The simple act of making marks on paper is enough. 

It is the foundation of all art.

It is always meditative.

It is always restorative.

Everything is a work in progress.

We are never finished.
