 Hi, I'm Robert Gray. I've been a wood turner for over 50 years, but presently in the last several years, my goal has been to take wood turning to a, what I consider a higher art form. I consider the lathe to be one of possibly the greatest obstacles to a wood turner's art, and I feel that wood turner's are often trapped into thinking that they cannot go beyond the symmetry of the lathe turned object.

Instead, I first think as an artist, then I determine what tools and techniques I will use to create my art.
