Gold Mountain Ring (CDr310-ss/18kry)

The gold in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains inspired the making of this ring. I thought of capturing a mountain scene as the moon set over the horizon. 18ky yellow gold mountains with oxidized silver black night sky, and a white diamond moon

“Swing that hammer, light that torch, and make that magic happen.” I use the most basic earth elements and fire to create jewelry that blends nature and human interaction. Each piece is brought to life by my spirit, fire, and utilizing nature’s elements to release the inner essence of metal’s stories. I work with metal daily; it has become a ritual. I respect the properties of metal and hone my skills by using ancient and modern techniques, manipulating and experimenting with metal, guiding metal into my designs. This mutual exchange between artist and material intrigues me and becomes a fun playful experience. It is the process of playing that produces the art. My art is not only a product, it is the process of creation-expressing life, capturing moments, preserving and making memories. Each piece tells a story of blending natural elements together capturing nature’s expression, expressing different stories to every audience. C Dimond ~ C d’ Fire ~ C d’ Magic

MG ring- CDr511-MG18krySleeve Mokume Gane is an ancient Japanese metal smithing technique that I began exploring in 2006. This ring has palladium500, sterling silver, 18k yellow gold and a white diamond. The Mokume Gane process uses a combination of metals which  reveals a distinct pattern. A Gold vein goes through a grain of palladium500 and sterling silver Mokume Gane; the gold looks like it is coming through from the inner band.
