Greetings
My name is Mark Lunning. Born in Denver, a Colorado native. I’ve been actively making and showing my art for over 40 years. This piece “Yes, The World is Round” is from a series of mixed media paintings I’m currently working on.
My inicel intentions is to make art that is interesting and compelling to look at and think about. I’ve been influenced by most of the ism’s of the 20th century. Most of my art and this series have basic modern compositions of geometric shapes and stripes. It also has some impressionism, expressionism and a little surrealism. I call my art 20th century synthessizm. At this point the influences of the 20th century are intuitive.
If you would like to see more of my art, I will be having an exhibition at the Space Gallery in March. The opening is Friday March 11th.
