Juniper trees have a lifespan between 350 to 750 years. Some even up to a thousand years.
Junipers thrive in the most inhospitable conditions.
They will withstand bone-chilling cold, scorching heat, intense winds, and with very little water.
As indomitable and resilient as they are, this Utah Juniper at the Colorado National Monument is a dead tree.
After a tour of the landfill and recycling facility, I merged two images - in-camera, to convey this message; from the Juniper’s last gasp.
Even the Indomitable Juniper will die if we pollute our environment indiscriminately.
The least we can all do is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
