Nightfall

Winter in the South Bay offers the best opportunities for clouds and colorful sunsets. I captured this image of the Manhattan Beach pier in January of 2024. The magic of the moment was created by a very low tide, which allowed me to walk out onto the wet sand with my tripod and capture the beautiful reflection of the pier well past sunset. The lights along the coastline to the north were an unexpected bonus.
