Last Light

On the night I captured this image, I went to the beach specifically to photograph the sun setting behind a lifeguard tower in Santa Monica. But when I arrived, Mother Nature had other plans. Before sunset, layers of clouds and fog began to move in. The air was damp and thick with moisture. As the sun set into the clouds, I continued to photograph the last rays of light, which turned the sky lavender and purple, just before darkness descended.
