Above the Hammock

This is a companion piece to Maui No Ka Oi, so I encourage you to listen to that audio track as well. Because of the time change when traveling to Maui, I’m frequently combing the beaches before dawn. During one early morning stroll with coffee in hand and camera over my shoulder, I came across a small grove of majestic coconut palms. I spent at least an hour creating various compositions from this group of unwitting subjects. I really like how the two palms are bending toward each other.
