Josh & John's

329 N. Tejon St

After graduating from college in 1985 – Middlebury for Josh Paris and Colorado College for John Krakauer – the longtime friends returned to their hometown of Boston with a shared goal: to master the art of crafting and serving ice cream while running a successful business. In December of that year, Josh and John packed their belongings into Josh's trusty 1982 brown Volvo and set off for Colorado Springs to embark on their ice cream adventure. Their first store, located on Kiowa Street, opened its doors on June 26, 1986, with Cookies and Cream as the inaugural flavor. As John recalled, "The lines extended out the front door from day one!"
