The Peddler's Wagon was a common way for people to buy goods during the oil boom. These vendors would travel from door to door or set up shop on busy streets and then travel to farms on a regular schedule. The Peddler's Wagon is similar to how people used to buy things before the days of big stores like Wal-Mart.
During the oil boom, the Peddler's Wagon would take orders and then deliver the goods the next time they came to that farm. This was similar to how we buy things online from companies like Amazon today, but it took longer for the goods to be delivered, usually around 30 days.
You can see the prices of the items on the wagon, and compare them to the prices today. You will notice that the prices have increased since 1930.
Behind you is the Boomtown Movie Theater. Please return at the group's designated time if you haven't seen the movie already.
If it is your time, please head to stop number 21. Or, continue past the movie stop to the newspaper, but before, please meet the carpenter in the alley between the Movie Theater and the Newspaper.
