Wright City Machine Shop

The blacksmith in this exhibit was responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment and tools for local farmers, as well as working on oil field equipment. He used a trip-hammer machine to shape iron parts that had been heated in the forge at the back of the shop.

The windmill and town water pump were important for providing water to the community. Try pumping water from the well, but it is not safe to drink.
