Lily Swann

Lily, once described by Charles Eames as “the most naturally talented artist” he had ever met, was enchanted by animals at a very early age and began her career by drawing animals at the zoo in Brooklyn every day after school. When she began her graduate work at Cranbrook, under Swedish sculptor, Carl Milles, and Finnish ceramist, Maija Grotell, she met Eliel and Eero, both of whom she worked with on several projects.
