Eero grew up under his father’s drafting table. He was designing as a boy, drawing, studying anatomy and geometry and working with his family on models early in life. He studied sculpture in Paris in 1929, then went to Yale to study architecture, graduating in 1934, after which he traveled in Europe on a scholarship and worked in Finland, returning to Cranbrook to work for his father in 1936.
