5 - Owl's Head

Owl's Head is one of Hawk Mountain's prominent peaks. A massive tumble of sand and quartzite boulders form an easily recognized prow, especially when viewed from state gamelands. Over the years I've hiked to this spot, often greeted by turkey buzzards and black vultures. To hear a bit of Dave Kline's musical ode to Owl's Head, listen to the next stop.
