8 - Skateaway

The scene occurred at the historic cottage near Hawk Mountain known as Schambach’s Tavern. I had driven by one day and noticed that my friend Todd Bauman had left his ice skates hanging on a stepladder. Later I returned with my iPad to snap a few images. Those photos were used as guideposts for this egg tempera.
