Matching the south transept, the north wall of this chapel has six windows, set in pairs, but only the bottom ones have stained glass, apart from the aforementioned angel window.
On the left is the Abbey’s second Annunciation scene, this time by James Powell and Sons. This is dated 1901 and is in memory of Almaric Rumsey of Lincoln’s Inn, a professor of Indian jurisprudence who died in 1899. The unusual mosaic set into the space above contains two coats of arms with a vine ornamentation in gold on a blue ground.
