A native of Oakland, Beatrice Boot Bernardi (1901-1998) received an A.B. in Art/Textile Design from U.C. Berkeley. After moving to Sausalito with her noted architect husband, Theodore, she became part of the local art scene. She was multi-talented and had a varied career as an artist, lecturer and teacher of life drawing, textile design and weaving. Michael Bry's photo portrait of her is also part of this collection.
