Sausalito's favorite cartoonist, Phil Frank (1943-2007) and his wife, Susan, first made Sausalito home in the 1970s. For many years he drew a weekly cartoon for the Marin Scope and then went on to the San Francisco Chronicle with his daily strip, Farley. Numerous collections of his work have been published. The bar at Cavallo Point, GGNRA, is named for his car- toon and exhibits his work, He was an authority on most things historical locally and was a past president of the Sausalito Historical Society.
