Fred Lyon is a fourth generation San Franciscan who began his impressive career in photography at the age of 14 at the Gabriel Moulin studio. His subject matter varies from architecture and bridges to food and wine. His exhibition credits include the San Francisco Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Herring Run depicts three fishermen hauling in their nets on the southern Sausalito waterfront. The buildings in the background exist today.
