 A native of Pocatello, Idaho, Justine Carey (b. 1910) lived and worked in Sausalito from 1941 to 1970 when she moved to Sonoma. She was a founder of the West Coast Watercolor Society. The actual fence and gate depicted in this watercolor is on Caledonia Street
