Bruce Forrester (b. 1952) moved to Sausalito in 1974 after graduating from the San Francisco Art Institute. He has been a lifelong Marin County professional photographer. His photography has been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and his photographs of celebrities have been published in over 30 countries. During the 1970s he extensively photographed the Sausalito houseboat community. He spent many hours hanging out on the ferryboat San Rafael. A drinking fountain from the now demolished San Rafael graces his garden as a bird bath. He currently divides his time between Mill Valley and Maui, HIHI.
Donated to the Sausalito Foundation, by the artist 2017.
