Sokol Club
Our final stop in downtown Rossford is 124 Bacon Street, home of the former Sokol Club.
It’s just one street away from the Polish Club.
The Sokol Club served Rossford’s Slovak community.
It was a place for gymnastics, competitions, and community activities.
The club was part of a larger national movement that promoted physical fitness while also celebrating cultural identity and community pride.
Today, the former Sokol Club is a multi-unit apartment building.
Once again, you can see how Rossford’s buildings change over time—even as their stories remain part of the community’s history.
