Introducing the Pagoda Dogwood, scientifically known as Cornus alternifolia. This tree is noted for its unique horizontal branching pattern, creating a distinct tiered formation. Typically reaching a height of 15 to 25 feet and a width of 20 to 30 feet, the Pagoda Dogwood is a striking addition to any landscape. In late spring, it blooms with clusters of white flowers, which give way to blue-black berries in late summer. Its broad, oval-shaped leaves are dark green with wavy edges, turning a beautiful burgundy-red in autumn. The smooth maroon bark, adorned with white diamond-shaped pores, matures to a gray color. Usually featuring a single thin trunk that rarely exceeds 4 inches in diameter, the Pagoda Dogwood combines elegance and charm, making it a standout choice for any garden.
