Rocking Horse, Pony Boy Manufacturing Company, 1947-1948
Winifred Petto received this rocking horse as a Christmas present when she was about 2 years old around 1948. The Pony Boy Mfg. Co. was located at 343 E. Kalamazoo Avenue, and was owned by Benjamin Rose. Rose also operated the Ben Rose Tire Company at the same site. Rose appeared to primarily be a tire dealer, so his stint as a creator of aluminum rocking horses is hard to track.
