Boomtown

Boomtown Street

Boomtown, USA illustrates the impact of the worldwide depression that occurred in October 1929.

Just ahead in the city street, a family has packed their belongings in this wagon and has come to the oil boom to find a fresh start after they lost their farm to the bank due to the Dust Bowl.

Unfortunately, the wagon has lost a wheel, but fortunately, there are many people just like him who will lend a hand to a man in need.

New shops open up adjacent to old and the boomtown takes on an air of excitement and possibilities. Opportunity awaits those willing to work, and many came to this new land of "milk and honey."

Take a second to two to listen to the town. What do you hear in this town booming in oil?

When ready, head-on into the Arp General Store, and click "next".
