Annie Peterson Sampson

Annie Peterson Sampson died on July 10, 1900, at 33 years of age, less than two years after marrying George Sampson in Salt Lake City. 

Mrs. Sampson has been an invalid for nearly a year past, with paralysis, for several weeks prior to her death. According to the local newspaper, her condition was such that death was not unexpected. She was born in Utah to the Perhrson’s which became Peterson, who hailed from Sweden. 

George came to Silver in 1871. He was an engineer in the mines. In 1893 he purchased the Silver City and Delamar stage lines and the livery soon after. In 1896 he bought the 800 acre Palmer Ranch in Pleasant Valley. He represented Owyhee County in the 1888 legislative session. He remarried Margaret Hutchinson in Silver City in 1903 and passed away in Nampa in 1907.
