Gunatitanand Swami

On the right of Bhagwan Swaminarayan is his first spiritual successor, Gunatitanand Swami. He is known as Aksharbrahman – a perfectly enlightened devotee of God through whom seekers can realise God. His left hand gesture is known as the gnan mudra, which symbolises enlightenment.

The Hindu tradition of worshipping God with his ideal devotee can also be seen in the other shrines, through the divine pair of Radha-Krishna, Sita-Rama and Shiva-Parvati.
