This is the shrine of Shiva and Parvati, also known as Maheshwar and Uma.
In Hinduism, Shiva is the Destroyer aspect of the divine Trinity, in which Brahma is the Creator and Vishnu is the Sustainer.
Here, Shiva is in the form of a yogi, adorned with the symbols of simplicity and asceticism.
By his side is Parvati or Shakti, a representation of the divine feminine power. She is Shiva’s inseparable consort.
