This shrine houses three sacred images.
On the left is Harikrishna Maharaj. This is another name for Bhagwan Swaminarayan. As this Mandir is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, his murtis have been consecrated in different shrines under his various popular names.
This murti is not carved from marble like the others you have seen, but is made from five metals: gold, silver, copper, iron and lead.
Next to Harikrishna Maharaj is the divine pair of Radha-Krishna.
Shri Krishna is one of the most popular deities in Hinduism. He is an avatar who graced the world over 5,000 years ago.
Though born into royalty, he was brought up tending to cows and so is frequently seen pictured with them, playing the flute, and winning the hearts of the cowherd community.
His closest and dearest devotee is Shri Radha, who exemplifies unflinching love and total dedication.
The teachings of Shri Krishna are documented in the Bhagavad Gita, in which he outlines the basic tenets of true spirituality and encourages Arjun to fulfil his sacred duty for the greater good.
