Caroline's Suite & End of Tour

Caroline’s Suite was located in the unrestored area on the left of the East Wing. Caroline was the only daughter of Sarah Morgan and never married. She had her own bedroom, dressing room, and bathroom here. You can see the original fireplace on the right side of Caroline’s room in the corner. On the left side of the room, you can see the brickwork that connects to the exterior of the house where the interior wall is missing. The Honeysuckle Room to the right of Caroline’s Suite was a guest room and is also currently unrestored.

The third floor and basement are in a similar condition to these rooms in their unrestored state.

A 2017 addition to Ventfort Hall are the two traveling trunks in this hall. One is George Hale Morgan's Louis Vuitton trunk and the other is Josephine Perry Morgan's Moynat trunk, both of which were gifted to us. Note the initials and travel stickers on the side.

Our two-floor platform lift entrance on this floor is also located in this hallway. Inside, you can see original brickwork in the elevator shaft.

The floor in this hallway is all original to Ventfort Hall and came from areas on the third floor so that the floors could be restored with as much original wood as possible.

Thank you for visiting us at Ventfort Hall today. Please be sure to return to see the progress of restoration as we are continually working on various projects to restore and rejuvenate the house. Follow us on social media to keep up with us, and learn about all of our upcoming events!
