I am Jonathan Nicklow and I am an artist living in the beautiful foothills of Evergreen, Colorado.
These Still Life drawings are all of objects found around my home. Some were collected and some were made by me. During COVID and lockdowns we were all stuck in our houses, and I took advantage of this by really observing and drawing these objects from my wife’s and I’s collection. I have always thought of myself as a visual storyteller and for this piece I added the words of a poem to each drawing. These drawings can be rotated, and by doing so, they will tell a different story. I choose not to frame the drawings and show them in the raw for ease of moving the drawings around and to let go of the preciousness of “the Art Object”.
