1923 brought great change to the campus as the Van Brunt Hall opened on June 14. The new Home building was dedicated with great fanfare. Transportation was provided so as many as desired could be there and enjoy this special day.
Resident capacity continued to increase and by 1931 the Home has over 100 residents. By 1956 the Home saw another year of operating under budget, thanks in part to the Masons who each contributed $2.50 per year to help fund it. Residents received $2.00 per month spending money from the Grand Lodge.
In 1969 thanks in part to donations, building improvements to the Wisconsin Masonic Home realized 20 additional resident rooms and a second-floor chapel with a capacity of 160. In 1975 Van Brunt Hall celebrated its 52nd anniversary, and many improvements and repairs were needed.
After the closing of Van Brunt Hall in 2006 and the following years of extensive analyses by Three Pillars' leadership, a future use for the building could not be identified. Due to its age, construction type, and market demands, an economically viable use was not attainable, and the most beneficial use of the property was determined to return to its original buildable condition. Van Brunt Hall was removed, and the site was restored.
