Village On the Square

Village on the Square broke ground on August 5, 1990. The vision of a retirement community for independent living that began in 1978 was no longer a dream.

The first pillar of the Dousman Masonic Home complex was the building of Van Brunt and the Hospital. The second was the Masonic Health Care Center, and now the third would be the Masonic Village on the Square.

In 1991 VOS opened and would consist of 66 apartments and 10 cottages. At the time of groundbreaking there were 42 reservations. The campus now offers a full continuum of independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing.
