The Parade Ground

Entering the fort you see the parade grounds and flagpole, and the building in front of you is the storehouse. The parade ground is where troops held their daily assemblies. Here the troops would receive general orders and listened as war news was read. Company and platoon drills were held here and the storage of construction materials, supplies, ammunition, and artillery.
