Hi. I’m Judy Gardner. My piece, “I’m a Fan” is based on a series of drawings I did meditating on the forms of the plant and animal life in the ocean. I’m a SCUBA diver, so the ocean shows up a lot in my work.
I scanned the original pencil drawing and created a new drawing in Illustrator, which I used to define layers. I cut those layers with a laser and reassembled them to create, “I’m a Fan.”
