Have you been to the Garden of the Gods recently? Just wow! My adventures took me there last year, marking my first visit since childhood, and the experience was nothing short of powerful. The towering red rock formations, bathed in ever-shifting light, felt both ancient and otherworldly.
Amid this striking landscape, a familiar character emerged in my work, one adorned by bold red and white stripes. This figure first appeared years ago, originally created from cut-out Christmas paper, reflecting my lifelong fascination with this color combination. Ever since childhood, I've been captivated by the whimsical world of The Things You Can Think by Dr. Seuss, where a forest of red and white striped trees first captured my imagination.
That visual magic has stayed with me, and my eye never tires of it. This painting is both a tribute to that early inspiration and a reflection of the wonder I felt revisiting this awe-inspiring place.
