Finging strength in trees

Finding Strength in Trees

This painting was inspired by the powerful emotions I experienced while reading The Wild Trees by Richard Preston. The book's vivid storytelling about the hidden world of California's giant redwoods awakened a deep sense of wonder, one that mirrors my own awe of nature while living in pine. The towering presence of trees, their quiet strength and resilience resonates with me on a profound level. This piece also connects to my elk self, symbolizing my own relationship with the wilderness and my desire to share its grandeur with family and friends. In the embrace of the forest, I find both inspiration and grounding, a reminder of nature's enduring power. The sign signals caution and to look.
