Welcome to the Tiny Room for Elephants Festival Audio Tour, presented by Love and Grit, a podcast from Visit Philadelphia that explores the authentic and diverse stories of the city.
The work you are viewing is by artist Olu wa femi.
This work is inspired by a rhythm shrine which is a totem dedicated to the artists love for rhythm.
When asked, what does the phrase “made with love, inspired by grit” mean to your creative process, the artist responded: “What "made with love, inspired by grit" means to me, especially being in Philly, is about understanding what it takes to make things work. You got to have a love for that. Dedicating one's self to their work, to ask questions, to have expressions and, curate spaces.”
