Welcome to the Tiny Room for Elephants Festival Audio Tour, presented by Love and Grit, a podcast from Visit Philadelphia that explores the authentic and diverse stories of the city.
The work you are viewing is by artist Alloyius Mcilwaine.
This mural features an aspect of every style that the artist has ever worked in...so that it feels like the viewer is stepping into their imagination.
When asked, what does the phrase “made with love, inspired by grit” mean to your creative process, the artist responded: “The theme actually fits perfectly with my creative process in general. I put a lot of hard work into every piece that I do...and my goal is always to spread love and positivity through bright colors, symbols and imagery.”
Notably, the artist has done over 350 murals worldwide in locations such as Paris, London, Tokyo, Costa Rica, Casablanca, Punta Cana, Tulum...and in 22 states in the U.S. Their work was recently featured on the Peacock show "Bel-Air"...and on the Jimmy Fallon show.
