Step up to the radiator and look closely at the photographs on top. There you'll find pictures of the Dow family at about the time they moved into the home. Herbert and Grace are in the yard, along with the three children they had at that time: Helen, Ruth, and Willard. The Dows would go on to have seven children, six of whom lived into adulthood.
You'll notice that when the house was first built it was white. Based on photographs, we believe the house was painted around 1910. Then, four years later, they had an addition built on The Pines. This work resulted in the house you see today.
