Middle Bedroom

We think the older children used this bedroom. As you can see, it seems to have a small office attached to it, so the older kids could have a place for school work and letter writing. Once the Dow children grew up, however, this room ended up being a place for the old furniture and pieces no longer wanted in other rooms. We don't, therefore, have a clear sense of how this room looked when the home was full of the activity of children, but we've attempted to pull out a few children's items to give it a playful feel. Additionally, you can see photographs of all seven Dow kids in birth order in this room.
