Sunporch Teapots

The sunporch is part of the 1914 addition. The family used this room as a social space in the home. Eventually it also became a great place for Grace to show off her teapot collection.

Grace collected teapots throughout her life. She purchased them when they traveled, worked with antique dealers, and received some as gifts. Sometimes she even kept the tags tucked inside of the teapots. We've pulled a few out to highlight this.

Grace's son, Alden Dow, who became a world-renowned architect, designed these shelves to provide his mother with a place to display her collection.
