Robert Dodson House (203 Cherry Street)

Before you turn, across Cherry Street and to your right at number 203 is probably the last log house in Saint Michaels. Built about 1800 for Robert Dodson, who later commanded the militia company driven back by the British from the mouth of the harbor, the house originally sat closer to the harbor. It was moved to this site and transformed into a Victorian cottage about 1870. Dodson owned and commanded a schooner that connected Saint Michaels to Baltimore, carrying local grain, produce, and oysters to city markets.
