The Haddaway Shipyard House (103 Locust Street)

The left portion of this modest frame house, built about 1800 to 1802, was the dwelling of shipbuilder Thomas Haddaway, whose shipyard was immediately behind his house—land that is now part of today’s Higgins Yacht Yard. Haddaway had a schooner hull under construction here at the time of the British attack.
