5. CLANDESTINES. 8 rue Pinton, Paris

Monica Lovinescu used to call the Romanian writers who came to Paris to see her "clandestines". An intense and uninterrupted dialogue was thus established between the resistance outside the borders and that within them, between the exile outside and inside. Meetings are not without emotion and hope, even if prudence is the rule, and fear creeps insistently into the eyes of the clandestine.
