Archie McDonald

Archie McDonald, age 32 years, died on February 10, 1901, of consumption. He was born near Lucknow Ontario Canada in 1868 and followed quartz milling in Montana until his health was broken by the deadly fumes incident to mining work. He came to Owyhee County in the summer of 1891 and, on account of ill-health, engaged in the saloon business until his death. Archie was a man of many friends, honorable in his business dealings, a gentleman, and his death was sincerely regretted by everyone who enjoyed his acquaintance.

He left his parents and four sisters and two brothers in Canada to mourn his loss along with one brother in Montana who was able to make it to the funeral.
