Welcome to the Cosumnes River Preserve Audio Tour!
This audio tour will guide you along the River Walk Trail, a 3.3-mile loop that begins at the Visitor Center. As you journey through the trail, you'll experience a variety of habitats—from seasonal wetlands and riparian forests to open grasslands—ending with a scenic view of the Cosumnes River itself.
The River Walk is a natural dirt trail, open year-round from sunrise to sunset for self-guided walks. Please note: sections of the trail may close during flooding for visitor safety.
Our trails are here for your enjoyment—but also for your safety—so please stay on designated paths at all times.
Although we all love our pets, they can disturb the sensitive wildlife we’re working to protect. For that reason, pets are not allowed at the Preserve.
As you explore, please remember to pack out all trash and help others enjoy the Preserve by following Leave No Trace principles.
