The Saint Joseph and the Saint Patrick shrines were constructed in recesses that had been confessionals since 1888, and before that, they were side entrances.
One is dedicated to Saint Joseph, and the other shrine, to Saint Patrick.
Wooden statues of both saints, in high relief, are the work of Ricardo Moroder of Ortisei, Italy. They surmount marble tables, since side altars were still in use in the 1960's. Ceramic tiles surround both statues, with scenes from the life of these saints. Lee Burnam Studios of Hawthorne Florida, produced the tiles, blue and white for Saint Joseph, and green for Saint Patrick.
Spend some time here admiring the artistic scenes from the life of these saints.
When you are done, turn towards the rear of the cathedral, then start the next stop.
